I have run technology as a business, not as a function.
Technology executive across banking, fintech and insurance in Latin America, the United States and Europe — accountable to boards, shareholders and founders.
What I do
I have been CTO at more than ten banking, fintech and insurance companies in Latin America — three full-time, the rest as a fractional or interim executive. Boards and founders bring me in when technology is the central risk in the business: to build an organisation from scratch, to modernise a platform that cannot be switched off, or to take over a programme that is failing.
I have also worked the other side of the table, as CTO of a multifamily office acquiring fintech companies, and alongside MBB strategy teams on banking and insurance mandates across nine countries. I report in terms of cost, revenue and risk rather than architecture alone.

- Core modernisation
- Six core banking platforms selected, migrated or decoupled. The part nobody plans for is switching the old one off.
- M&A and post-merger integration
- Diligence on roughly thirty targets, and five integrations or separations — including a three-country insurance merger and a carve-out assessment for a global private equity fund.
- Building from zero
- Digital banks, wallets and lenders taken from a business plan to a licensed, operating business.
- Insurance
- Four years rebuilding a century-old insurer, a regional merger, and embedded insurance across three continents.
- AI in regulated environments
- Agentic systems inside organisations governed by ISO, SOX and ITIL, where autonomy has to be bounded and auditable.
Background
At Wenance I selected the core banking platform, led its implementation and migrated more than 300,000 accounts, launched three digital business units processing over USD 1.5M a day, and designed the operating model for an ARS 1B+ operation. At Nubity I scaled an operation of more than a thousand managed servers across three delivery centres. Earlier, at HP and IBM, I ran mission-critical environments for global banking and airline operations.
